Gahanas Biography

Gahana has a Bachelors degree in Arts. She has been running cooking workshops in the city of Dubai for a multi- ethnic community for past 5 yrs. She has won esteemed awards in the city of Dubai:
  1. Stood 1st in longest buffet awards organized by the Marco Polo Hotels in Jan 2007, the longest buffet was mentioned in the Guinness Book of awards.
  2. Stood 1st in the Arabian Resources awards.
  3. Stood 1st in the Telelife, Made for Each Other cooking competition.
  4. Stood 1st in the Telelife, COOK OUT ON COALS award in Feb 2008.
  5. Stood 2nd in the LULU Cookery Contest 2008, and 1st in 2009.
  6. Stood 1st in the VLCC, healthy cooking contest in 2008, 2009.
  7. She was crowned as the SUPER CHEF, at the Four Point Sheraton SUPER WOMAN Contest in Aug, 2009.
She teaches Cooking at the Barsha, Rashid Padiatric Therapy Centre for Special needs. She has been covered by Gulf News, Telelife and various other industry magazines.
